Marko Ivanović

Conductor, composer and dedicated promoter of contemporary music, Marko Ivanović has contributed to many first Czech performances of major foreign works and has initiated educational programmes for young audiences. The Jungle Book, his original score for a theatre-dance performance released as a studio recording on Animal Music, is Marko´s third collaboration with Forman Brothers Theatre. It was successfully presented over two seasons of stage of Jatka78 theatre and warmly received by audiences just as were their previous joint projects – the opera “Čarokraj” in 2012 and in 2007 the new production of the famous Czech jazz opera by of Jiří Suchý and Jiří Šlitr “Dobře placená procházka” that Marko Ivanović conducted and also created a new instrumentation. Marko Ivanović is currently the chief conductor of the Janáček Theatre in Brno and since 2006 also chief conductor of Czech Youth Philharmonic.
